Attendance Policy

Good attendance by all students insures maximum learning. Prompt and daily attendance is mandatory. Students absent from class miss valuable instruction and discussion. Parents/guardians are encouraged to make all appointments, including doctor and dentist, outside of school hours.

Students leaving after 4:00 must be signed out in the office. Students will be released only to persons listed on the Emergency Contact Form.

Holidays

Refer to the school calendar for holidays and school vacation dates.

Dress Code

Students are required to wear uniforms Monday through Friday.

Mandatory uniforms (girls – white shirt and plaid jumper or skirt. Boys – white shirt and navy pants) are to be worn every Thursday and on all field trips. A light blue polo shirt is to be worn on Tuesdays, green shirts on Wednesdays, and red shirts on Fridays. P.E. clothes are required for grades 3-8. Please label all clothes.

Conduct and Attitude of Students

Carden Academy teaches proper manners and respect for others. Good healthy attitudes enable students to cope with life’s successes and failures. The administration reserves the right to suspend or expel a student.

Food Services

Hot lunch is provided daily by The Great American Lunch Box. Parents may go on line and order hot lunches.

Please mark lunch containers with your child’s name and grade. We recommend that parents provide a nutritious morning snack for your child.
